Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC is looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst to help support the finance and accounting, commercial, and executive teams with applicable business analysis and related reporting in support of the Wholesale Energy Commodities business.  The Finance Analyst will be the owner of executing analyses for key company decisions by building models, performing financial analysis, and assisting in development of final recommendations for management.  The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as advanced Excel skills for performing analytics. A Bachelor's degree is required, and experience in the energy commodity industry is preferred. The position will initially report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In addition to ad hoc requests, The Financial Analyst will own and assist in the following responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • FP&A
  • Financial Reporting
  • Banking & Treasury
    • Preparing the Board of Managers financial decks
    • Assist in updating and validating 5+ year financial model
    • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial and operating results and information; improve forecast accuracy and visibility
    • Engage in the preparation and review of annual budgets and the implementation of rolling 8-quarter forecasting for the purposes of providing visibility into the business and establishing financial guidance targets
    • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis and presentations for executive management
    • Own monthly financials sent to management and private equity partners and perform variance analysis on margin and G&A
    • Support external audit reviews
    • Assist in implementing new accounting procedures for analysis improvement
    • Maintain Wholesale Trading borrowing base with accompanied variance analysis.  Work with credit and settlements to ensure proper communication with agent bank (semi-monthly)
    • Own collateral usage by business unit to drive cost allocations
    • Perform and/or coordinate ad-hoc analyses to support Collateral Optimization opportunities
    • Understanding collateral utilization under all uses (Derivatives, Repo, Inventory, etc.) and identifying opportunities to optimize collateral
    • Assist in cash flow forecasting

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in Wholesale Energy Commodities industry is preferred
  • Must possess Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior
  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment with high growth opportunity
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex scenarios
